The life of a long haul truck driver can be a bit lonely and it means time away from family. So it is not a job for everyone. If it is a well-established company, you are likely to find contracts coming your way thick and fast. All the company charges is a small fee to stay on their list of drivers.
Having your own truck is always a bonus, as you tend to get more money out of the whole deal. But maintaining a large vehicle is now always an easy task. So think about this before you go out and put a down payment on a big truck.
